The third Saturday in March is historically reserved for the famous Newport St. Patrick’s Day parade. Loved by locals and out-of-towners since 1956, this day is known to be full of festivities across town, heavy traffic, and plenty of shenanigans.

Parade details:

The parade kicks off at City Hall, at 11 AM. It will run through Washington Square, down Thames Street and ends at St. Augustine’s Church. Don’t forget to wear green! Have little ones with you? Bear in mind it gets crazy downtown. We recommend finding your viewing spot as early as possible.

Are you local and residing in the downtown area? Don’t forget to check the parking bans. We recommend utilizing ride share and walking when possible!
