October is well underway and off to a perfect start! The temperatures are dropping slowly but surely, allowing us to savor every drop of sunshine and pack our weekends with fall fun. Here are some of the festivities we’ll be marking on our calendars!
Pumpkin Patches & Farms We Love!
Pumpkin patches, apple picking & cider doughnuts – oh my! These are the spots we look forward to visiting each year for their delicious treats & unbeatable fall ambiance:

Escobar’s Highland Farm: We can’t recommend an autumnal trip to Escobar’s enough to partake in the beloved annual corn maze!
Activities for the Family:
- Old Town Ghost Walk: Discover Newport’s haunted legends! Departs nightly from the Mainsail Restaurant at Newport Marriott. Ticket required, weather depending. Adults $20, Children $12, Seniors & Military $18.
- Roger Williams’ Zoo Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular: A tradition you know and love! Through November 2nd.
- Cars & Coffee: Trunk or Treat: Sunday, October 27 10-12 PM: An annual Halloween edition of the Cards & Coffee you know and love!
- Midnight in the Garden Act III: October 26 at 9 PM: A killer Halloween party at Stoneacre Garden complete with costume contests, themed cocktails & music.
- Halloween Trick or Treat at The Breakers: Friday October 25th at 5:30 PM & 6:30 PM – advance ticket purchases highly recommended. Pizza & treats will be available! Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item for the pantry at the Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Community Center.
- A Spirited Evening at Fort Adam: At 8 PM on October 25th, join a team of expert paranormal investigators on a four-hour paranormal investigation of Historic Fort Adams.Tickets $40 plus fees.
