And don’t forget, support doesn’t have to mean monetary donations. These deserving local charities also need social media amplification, volunteers & positive word of mouth to help spread their missions far and wide! In some cases you can even find wish lists to donate cleaning supplies, pet food, sanitary products, clean clothing, linens & so much more.

1. The Potter League:

Located in Middletown, RI, The Potter League is ranked as a 4-Star Charity Navigator ranked nonprofit ranking in the top 1% of animal welfare organizations. Donate, learn more about their volunteer opportunities, or donate essential supplies!

2. Clean Ocean Access:

“Working for a clean, healthy ocean that is accessible to all.” The mission of COA is to inspire the community to take action through environmentally responsible behaviors. Give back or voluteer! 3. The MLK Center, Newport:

MLK programs encompass: hunger relief and nutrition, early childhood and extended learning time education, community support. In 2023, the MLK Center served 6,232 people. Visit their website to learn how you can take action to support their mission.

4. Operation Stand Down RI:

5. Farm Fresh RI:

Farm Fresh RI works to increase community access to local foods and build strong local food system enterprises. Their mission is to “grow a local food system that values the environment, health and quality of life of farmers & eaters in our region.” Visit their website to learn more.
