Welcome 2023! The New Year is a symbol of a fresh start, and for so many, the perfect time to get started on all the  dreams and plans you cant stop thinking about. We wan’t to help you put your goals into action however best we can.

If you find yourself constantly losing track of your New Year’s resolutions, we have put together some of our favorite tips to simplify goal planning and tracking to help you stay accountable in 2023.

  1. Make specific goals. The days of jotting down “save money” or “improve my credit score” are over. It’s time to get specific and actionable. Instead of saying “save money,” think “I want to save $400 a month for a total of $4,800 this year.” If you want to improve your credit score, say “I want to raise my credit score by 60 points this year which will bring me to 785. Each month I will do XYZ to meet my goal.”
  2. Share your goals with someone you trust! Whether it’s a partner, colleague, best friend, sibling or parent – having someone to discuss goals and progress with on a regular difference can make a world of difference in your motivation!
  3. Consider planning quarterly goals. Often times, people leave their resolutions behind because they seem too big or unmanageable. Our favorite strategy to combat this mindset is to set small, achievable goals on a quarterly basis. Planning through March is much easier to tackle than planning a whole year.
  4. Find a tracking strategy that works for YOU. While some people recommend technology or apps like Asana to keep you on track, many people work best with physical visualization (i.e. a bullet journal or habit tracker), and writing down their goal progress. There is no right answer, you just have to chose what works best for you!
  5. Don’t be so hard on yourself! If setting resolutions or goal planning is new to you, give yourself some time to find a strategy that works best for you. Set small rewards for each step of the way, like a a rest day or take out from your favorite spot at the end of each month.

We wish you a happy, healthy and abundant New Year! Feel free to send us your favorite goal planning tips and tricks and we might just add them to our list!
